Founded by Sarah Vining, The Hickory Post reflects her belief that beautiful spaces should feel personal, lived in, and full of heart. Every piece inside our space tells part of a story, about where it came from, what it means, and the home it will one day belong to.

For Sarah, design has always been about more than aesthetics, it’s about emotion.
What began as afternoons spent “junking” with her mom grew into a lifelong love for creating spaces that feel layered, thoughtful, and alive.
Her background in art, design, and therapy informs everything she does, helping people connect to their homes in ways that feel deeply personal and endlessly evolving.
